A man convicted of grooming underage girls for sex has been caught at it again just months after being released early from prison.
Mark Thornton even told what he thought was a 14-year-old that he had ‘been a naughty boy in the past’. The 51-year-old had previously been caught trying to meet girls for sex before being stopped by Dark Justice in an Asda car park.
He was given a two-year prison sentence last September following a series of explicit chats with what he was led to believe were two 13-year-old girls.
He pleaded guilty at Teesside Crown Court on Friday to attempting to meet a girl under 16-years-old following grooming and two counts of breaching a sexual harm prevention order. Thornton was sentenced to another two year sentence and has been ordered to sign the sex offenders register for 10 years.
